Surf Privately using Stealther

In one of my previous posts, I talked about on How to Clear Traces of Your Internet Activity. No matter what the situation lies; no body ever wants to reveal his/her personal information to anyone.

Here is a useful application that will help you surf privately, without worrying about exposing your internet activity to others.

Stealther is a FireFox extension that prevents any information being stored onto your hard drive while you are surfing through the web. In other words it disables the following:

  • Browsing History (also in Address bar)
  • Cookies
  • Downloaded Files History
  • Disk Cache
  • Saved Form Information
  • Sending of ReferrerHeader
  • Recently Closed Tabs list

You can always chose to disable or enable the above, accordingly – see screenshot.

Installing this application is very simple (you will find a link at the end on this post). Once installed, all you have to do is to turn it on and it will force the browser to forget each and everything, when you close FireFox.

You also have the ability to turn Stealther on or off, by pressing Ctrl + Shift + S.
