GreaseMetal – First Google Chrome Extension

You must have come acrossed GreaseMonkey, a popular FireFox extension and GreaseKit for Safari, that lets you to insert customized Javascripts on web pages, which can then be executed every time a web page gets loaded, enabling extended functionality to a website.

With the release of Google Chrome, a new hype can been seen among the developers to create new Themes, Add-ons, Plugins and Firefox like extensions for Google Chrome.

One such Add-on for New Google Chrome is GreaseMetal, which works on the same grounds as GreaseMonkey, enabling you to block Ads by using ad-blocking scripts, for instance.

Unfortunately, GreaseMetal does not provide a user interface for managing scripts, plus it doesn’t support for GM_* function. In order to run this script download GreaseMonkey from here, then go to UserScripts.org and download any script that you want, after that copy them into My Document folder.

Greasemetal 1.0 is licensed under GNU Public License version 2.
