Restart Crashed Applications Automatically – How To

Most of us have a bad experience about certain applications, like web server, database, client applications, which suddenly stops working or in other words “crashes”.

You have no clue what caused the application(s) to crash and restart it immediately, that causes a significant system down time and bad consequence to end users (in certain cases).

Application monitor is a useful freeware utility that not only monitors active applications periodically, but also immediately restarts, if a crash is detected.

In order to detect system crashed you may add as many applications you want to monitor into the monitoring list, but be careful to tick the checkbox, otherwise it will not monitor. Secondly, you can only provide applications/programs; ending with *.bat, *.exe, *.scr and the initials must be in small letters.

You can always choose the interval, in which it monitors the application; default settings is set to 2 minutes interval.

The utility supports Windows 98, Windows ME,  Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Be sure to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or higher on your system, as a prerequisite, otherwise it won’t work.
