Trutap rolls out expanded mobile IM service
All of us hate to install different types of instant messengers onto our desktops, and managing these IMs can sometimes become a tedious task.
This is where a very useful utility jumps in. Trutap is a global service which can be used with our mobile to surf the web, to use with IM, Social networking, Blogs and for sending SMS.
Trutap is a free mobile social networking service that combines all the elements of a young person’s social life into one application.
Trutappers can now enjoy using Facebook Chat, Google Talk, Rediff Bol and Jabber services, along with the existing MSN, Yahoo, AIM and ICQ messenger products wherever they are in the world from their mobile phone.
TruTap’s capabilities are certainly impressive. Once you’ve downloaded the software, you can set up TruTap so it will automatically tap into your Flickr photo-sharing account, or your Xanga, Blogger, or TypePad blog, and post entries to your blog and upload pictures at the touch of a button.
As far as supported mobile phones go, Trutap supports a wide range of mobile devices; in case you wondered, the likes of the iPhone are not on the list. This is because Trutap is a Java based application and its primary audience is people who prefer regular phones over smartphones.
At present the Trutap is in beta version only.
