Banshee 1.4 Media Player Available for Download

The Banshee development team has released version 1.4. The new version of the popular open source media player includes improved support for audio player devices, including the Android-based T-Mobile G1.

It adds several compelling new features, such as Mac OS X compatibility and improved support for audio player devices.

Banshee 1.4 offers automatic library synchronization for mobile devices and can also handle device playlists. It works with iPods and MTP players in addition to USB mass storage devices.

The T-Mobile G1, which runs Google’s Android mobile platform, is one of many devices that is supported right out of the box. Banshee can even import music that has been purchased from the Amazon MP3 store.
