Skype 4 beta 3 Version Released for Windows

When it comes to connecting people at low costs,  Skype is one of the widely used application. Millions of users use this service to connect with friends and family.

For newbies, a more precise definition would be – a peer to peer internet telephony network that uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) to make telephone calls over the internet much cheaper than more traditional methods using dedicated lines over the internet to anyone else who has Skype (www.skype.com).

Recently, I new beta version was launched for windows users. This Skype 4 beta 3 version looks similar to Skype 4 beta 2, but come with many additional features, some of which include:

  • Bandwidth manager to improve call quality
  • Support for Microsoft Outlook contacts
  • Return of the call quality feedback area
  • Abuse reporting feature that enables you report users you have block
  • Full history feature that lets you search and browser past calls and conversations

A lot of improved in its interface have also been made. Unfortunately, there is no word as to when will this version be rolled out for Mac OS X or Linux.
