Access Rapidshare at Banned Places

rapidshare_logoYou are at your home or office and desperately want to access Rapidshare, but find your self restricted to the access. Then you should probably download Rapidshare @ Office.

I know by this time you will be thinking that its just another web proxy to access banned sites, but you are wrong! It is not a proxy site but a Firefox extension, similar to the one used to access flickr in banned countries.

What this add-on does is that it just looks the IP of the download page and uses this information to download the required file. Once the add-on is installed and added to your firefox browser toolbar, simply copy and paste the URL of Rapidshare link and paste it onto the toolbar, then click the ‘Next‘ button on the toolbar that will change the URL so that the IP is used for accessing the download page.

A Javascript window will pop out once the IP has been converted and will display a dialogue box -see screenshot.

NOTE: It will work where the admin has ONLY banned Rapidshare.com, otherwise it won’t work. Another draw back is that you will have to log in to Mozilla’s website in order to avail the facility, the reason is that the Firefox add-on is in experimental stages.

You should also take a look at Top Rapidshare Search Engines if you want to hunt your files quickly and convieniently.
