How to Assign Keyboard Shortcuts to your Favorite Browser?

Using keyboard shortcut keys can be very useful as it saves a lot of your precious time. It can also be very helpful in case your mouse is not working. Unfortunately, you won’t find any keyboard association with Internet Explore, Firefox, Safari, Chrome or any other browser that you are using  in Windows Vista.

We have already shared with you some of the widely used keyboard shortcuts for Internet Explorer and Firefox, here on skidzopedia.

1. FireFox Keyboard Shortcuts

2. Internet Explorer Keyboard Shortcuts

However, if you are interested in creating your own set of keys, here is what you have to do:

1. Create a desktop shortcut of your favorite browser, for instance Firefox;

2. Right click on the browser icon and click on “Properties“;

3. Inside the shortcut key section, enter you desired shortcut keys; for instance if you want to create a shortcut for Firefox, simply enter ‘F’ and it will automatically append CTRL+ALT+F – sample shown below:

4. Hit the “OK” button when you are done.

Now whenever you press the combination of keys that you entered in step #3; your favorite browser will open in an instant. Repeat the same process for any other browser.
