Mozilla Firefox is a great open-sourced web browser and it is used by almost everyone who uses a computer. If you are aware of some of the best plug-ins and extensions available on the net, you will simply be enhancing your Firefox experience by taking it to the next level. But to get a better browsing experience using Firefox, you do not need to go downloading random apps and extensions rather all you need to do is simply look at what it has to offer under its hood. There are several hidden tricks and tips that you can avail to improve the browser and enhance its appearance to suit you.

One tip that is extremely useful, and that many people are not aware of, is getting more screen space. How do you do this? Well, all you need to do is make the icons on your screen a smaller size. Go to the View tab and follow that up by selecting Toolbar. Once you open Toolbar, choose Customize and select the “Use Small Icons” box.

Another neat feature is its auto-complete feature. This is one of the many keyboard shortcuts that Mozilla has to offer. If you type the name of a website in the address bar without using “www” or the “.com” entry, it will automatically fill in the rest just by pressing the combination of Control and Enter. If the website is a .net or .org website, Mozilla will make this change itself so there is no need to worry.

You can also delete selected items from the address bar history. When you start entering a website name into the address bar, you will notice the drop down list that appears that contains related websites or previous websites that you visited. Sometimes you prefer not having those URLs appear. So if you feel like removing these from the drop down list, all you have to do is scroll down to them and press Delete on them.
