Setting up Digi Link Doctor is really simple. It roughly requires 2-3 minutes to set up and configure the damaged link checker. What I like regarding this wordpress plugin is its ease of use. This is how the ‘Settings’ section appears like:

Insider Tip – As you can tell, you are able to receive an email the moment a new damaged link is located. I wouldn’t suggest that you tick that option though. Initially when i first setup Digi Link Doctor, I did not think it might find a lot of damaged links… I’d have ticked that option I’d have received 100s of emails! I however ticked another choice to experience an email once every seven days by having an activity summary. If you feel the wordpress plugin will discover a large amount of damaged links, I would recommend that you do exactly the same.

The ‘Repair’ section shows all of the damaged links discovered by the wordpress plugin. I still can’t believe how lengthy my listing of damaged links is and I’m really glad I had setup Digi Link Doctor on my blog. Without it I’d be losing traffic every single day. Not lots of traffic, but with time it accumulates! Digi Link Doctor found them, and fixed them for me, on auto-pilot.

Promoting your free wordpress theme is not as simple. There are tons of free wordpress theme directories who are willing to take/publish your wordpress theme(s). However, most of theme are out-dated or obsolete, meaning that either they don’t accept/publish fresh wordpress themes or it take months for the theme to appear on their homepages.

Users had a lot of expectations from newer version since the old version of WordPress for iPhone had several bugs that gladly have been fixed and additional features have been added to the list.

It has been under development for the several months, and has come with several new features, including tons of enhancement in the admin area.

One of the major improvements has been done is in sites navigation features that have been moved towards the sidebar, where users can expand or collapse the sections. Now you wont have to wait for the page to reload after clicking the link. Take a look.

The only draw back with the sidebar navigation is that it takes more space on your screen giving you less time for writing and managing your blog.

After being behind schedule, the WordPress team has finally spoken and have decided to release it this evening. i.e. on December 4, 2008.

WordPress 2.7 represents a huge shift away from earlier versions of WordPress. The changes made in the admin area are huge. Most of the changes will be visible to bloggers, but not blog readers.

As already discussed, they have revamped WordPress Dashboard, the navigation menus have all been moved to the left side of the screen, giving you more room at the top of the page, collapsible sub-menus have been added, which allows you to navigate the administration interface without reloading the page as often.

Similarly, Numerous font updates have been made, search for and install plugins without leaving the admin area plus several fixes; PHP Notice fixes, Menu fixes, etc.

Most notable is that for the first time, an automatic upgrade tool is included in WordPress so you can upgrade to WordPress 2.7.1 or 2.8 or whatever new versions are on the horizon without having to fire up an FTP client.

The real fun would be to practically see the new version of WordPress 2.7. I can’t wait to try this out. What are your thoughts on this latest release?

Edit: According to DownloadSquad; Matt pointed out that WordPress will see the roll out of WordPress 2.7 sometime this evening. There is no official word on when WordPress.org will release the self-hosted version, though the first release candidate is available now. — CEW

They have modified the dashboard, which gives a very fresh and exciting look. apart from these style improvements, a total of 160 changes have been made, altogether.

A lot of bugs have been fixed and new features have been added. Now, guys at wordpress have released a sneak preview of the upcoming version of WordPress 2.7.

The wordpress team have been working quite hard to give its users a new look and thrilling experience. They have redesigned WordPress Dashboard. All the activities can be monitored right from the dashboard.

Also among the features are a new comment reply feature, the new navigation system, and the customizable posting screen.
