Are you experiencing slow connection speeds? Does you page take a lot of time to load properly? If your internet connection has all these symptoms mentioned above, I would advice you only two solutions. First change your internet connection; secondly if you can’t change it or the problem still persists, then try using Opera Turbo.

Opera Turbo, introduced by Opera brings a server-side optimization and compression technology, which works perfectly for slow connections by compressing internet traffic so that it can easily flow within your limited bandwidth.

Related: CfossSpeed Improve internet speed | Increase Firefox speed to 150x its normal

Let me give you more insight on the feature and it advantages. Opera Turbo runs on a person’s PC, fetching data not just from the original Web site but also from an Opera server that compresses that site’s text and images on the fly. The compression can shrink the data by up to 80 percent, according to Opera’s video explanation – provided at the end of this post.

Turbo uses a technology called “Opera Web Optimization Proxy”, which is different from the Opera Binary Markup Language used in Opera Mini. Web sites layout and text will look exactly the same, but image resolution may appear considerably lower as a result of the compression. Dynamic Web technologies such as Ajax and Flash are supported, but some plug-in content will load only after clicking on the empty element.

Below is a video presentation which illustrates the major difference between a regular Opera browser and an Opera Turbo browser.

Please note, if you already are using a high speed broadband connection you might not feel any difference, but if you have a slow connection then Opera turbo is just the right solution for you. Enjoy!

After sharing how to reset Master password on Firefox, I got several emails requesting me if I could teach them how to reset a Master Password on Opera. Therefore this post is solely for those who want to learn on how to reset Master Password on Opera.

Those who do not use Opera on their system can look for other great geeky Tips and How To’s. This trick involves TWO CASES each of four steps, but before you begin don’t forget to save your work and close all the applications running on your Opera browser. Then follow the instructions as mentioned below:

CASE I

Goto Tools → Preferences → Advanced → Security

Check if Master Password to protect saved passwords is enabled

Search for opcert6.dat & wand.dat in the Opera profile directory (located in Documents & Settings by default).

Now rename or delete them. (Deleting wand.dat file is preferred)

CASE II

Goto Tools → Preferences → Advanced → Security

Check if Master Password to protect saved passwords is disabled

Search for opcert6.dat in the Opera profile directory (located in Documents & Settings by default).

Now rename or delete it.

Please note that deleting wand.dat will remove all stored passwords from Opera Wand. Although this trick is quite simple but in case you prefer not to follow this, then you can give some applications a try [HERE]. Enjoy!
