iPhone Firmware 2.2 Coming In Less Than a week?

According to the guys at iPhone Hellas, the Apple iPhone OS 2.2 firmware update will be available to iPhoners sooner than expected. It has been rumored that Apple plans to release the iPhone OS 2.2 on November 21, 2008.

According to a translated version of iPhone Hellas, some of the added features in the 2.2 update, which includes:

  • 461 Japanese emoji icons
  • The ability to turn auto-correction on and off
  • New look for the Safari with the Google search bar now occupying its own space on the title bar
  • Download podcasts wirelessly
  • The Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack
  • New language support
  • Google Street View, Google Transit information – Routes public transport, Walking directions, Location sharing.
