Apple’s Latest iPhone 2.2 OS Update, Now Available
As previously blogged about iPhones OS 2.2 firmware, that was expected to be released by 21 November, is now available for download.
Several new features have been added to this update. Some of the highlights of the update focus on GPS and Google Maps, which now includes Google Street View, allowing a user to see a 360-degree view of locations taken with cameras mounted on Google’s cars.
Here is a quick view of the enhancements that have been added to the Latest iPhone 2.2 Firmware Update:
- Preference to turn on/off auto-correction in Keyboard Setting
- Public transit and walking directions
- Decrease in call setup failures and dropped calls
- Podcast downloads via the iTunes app
- Improved formatting of wide HTML email
- Pressing Home button from any Home screen displays the first Home screen
- Share location via email
- Improved sound quality of Visual Voice mail messages
- Google Street View
- Resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email
- Display address of dropped pins
- Improved stability and performance of Safari
- A fix for a scheduled fetching of email bug
