Find IP Address and Location of an Email | How To

Scam and different types of frauds are getting common these days. People try all sorts of nasty tricks to wangle as much personal information from their target as they can.

Due to technical advancement and awareness programmes, people from all around the globe are getting aware of these scams. Only a fraction of people respond to such frauds that are generally sent via email.

A week ago, I received an email from an unknown person, which sounded quite attractive, but I was a bit suspicious on his offer. He claimed that he was from Germany. Since I got that mail on Gmail, I copied his IP-Address (which can be seen by clicking the arrow button next to the ‘Reply‘ button. Go to ‘Show Original‘ and you will find the IP-address there.)

After coping his IP, I pasted it here. Clicked on ‘Lookup this IP‘ and just as I suspected that guy was somewhere from Africa and was playing all the time.

Therefore, make sure you cross check whether the person offering your something is legitimate or just cheating on you. Have you come across any similar incident as this one?
