So we are sure that you have heard about the new iPad. It is all over the internet. The new iPad has lived up to many of its expectations. Just from looking at it, you will not be able to tell it apart from the iPad 2 except for if you have super eyesight and are super smart, you will notice that you it is a bit thicker that is, a few millimeters, and it is slightly heavier too. But when you hold it, you will hardly be able to tell the difference. But when you look into it a little deeper, you will notice the difference. In this article, we will look into the technological aspect of what the new iPad has to offer.

First off, we have the Retina Display. The new display and screen resolution has been increased almost four-fold. Now, it has a 2048 by 1536 pixel resolution, with 264 pixels per inch with an aggregate of 3.1 million pixels. What this means is a fuller 1080p HD screen. This makes a difference to everything: photos, text readability etc. Now, developers will have to put in less time to work on the visual aspect of their apps.

The new iPad has a built-in LTE modem. On an international scale, it will run on 3G. LTE will allow downloading speeds to reach 73mbps. LTE is not offer on any of their phones at the moment. The new iPad can also be used as a WiFi hotspot.

Apple has equipped the new iPad with an A5X dual-core processor that is boasted with a quad-core GPU. The new and improved processor will help people enjoy a more pleasing gaming experience and movie watching experience.

Siri has still not been integrated with the new iOS tablet rather it has gotten voice dictation. Now, instead of typing on the digital keyboard, you can dictate messages, email etc to fill in the text automatically.

One of the main improvements with the third-generation iPad is the camera. I have always been unappreciative of its camera but now it has been uplifted. It is 5MP and is supported with advanced features like face detection, tap-to-focus and auto-focus. Also, there is video stabilization built into the iPad.

These are some of the main changes in the iPad but the fact remains that its appearance is the same. This may be a deal-breaker for many but we will have to wait how people react to this.
