The Future of Digital Cameras
Technology is always pushing the boundaries for the best digital cameras and with current developments working on screen resolution, flexible screens and attractive accessories and gadgets, the future for digital cameras is only really just starting. Screen resolution has always been an issue with digital cameras and the screen size for compact cameras has often been grainy and does not allow the user to objectively look and assess the quality of the image ‘in situ’. This means having to wait until the image is downloaded to a laptop or a PC, which may be too late to allow for the shot to be retaken.
The ability of manufacturers to create higher screen resolutions has been possible since the LED and LCD technology first began to appear. Most of the best digital cameras have screen resolutions that are far below their image and there has to be a compromise between the space taken up for the screen and the other function buttons. Soon most cameras will have a touch interface and be quite similar to many smart phones but for now, the interactivity that users request is still present and for some, the pleasure of taking a photograph is being in control of the ‘physical’ buttons.
